Writing a great bio can feel daunting, but it’s simply a way to let people know:
The heart of your compelling bio is directly related to what you blog about and why you blog—because you have a unique perspective, because you love fashion, because you enjoy gathering and sharing ideas. These are all interesting ways to introduce yourself to readers.
Decide what you like in a bio by looking at a handful of bios of bloggers you admire and keep an eye out for similarities in content and length.
When/why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in September of 2007 as a hobby. I had recently decided not to attend the graduate program I was set to start in three weeks. I was living in a city, where the only person I knew was my boyfriend (now my husband), with no job and no plan. I've loved weddings ever since I was 16 and my older sister got married. I had several girlfriends get engaged in the summer of '07, so I started creating wedding inspiration boards for fun. A blog seemed like a good place to share them - I had no idea it would eventually become my job!
