    Details, Details

We know your Alt Summit daytime schedule is filling up quickly, but don't forget to save room on Friday night for party hopping at it's finest. Alt Summit has secured a floor of suites, and sponsors will be hosting lively get togethers in each one. So grab a friend and wear something sparkly (men, we'll forgive you if you skip that part) because it's going to be a fun night. Let's hope there are disco balls involved.

Also, we're still excited about the announcement of Design Camp and hope you are too! Here are a few more details: The courses will be two and 1/2 hours long to assure enough time to learn and create (yes, there will definitely be a break halfway through). Beforehand we'll provide a list of materials you'll need to join the class (most materials will be
provided) and we'll let you know the teacher's contact information in order to secure a spot. Otherwise it will be first come, first serve and you won't want to miss out on taking something fabulous home.
Lastly, our newest sponsor doesn't really need much of an introduction because we're pretty positive most of you have one of their products in your home. HP is one of the world's largest information technology companies and specializes in everything from personal computers to printer ink. We're so happy they'll be helping us make Alt 2011 great.

    Sparkly and New

So what do you think of Alt Summit's new digs? Pretty great huh? We're loving the new look and couldn't have done it without Krystyn Heide, and the great people behind Squarespace, one of our fantastic sponsors. So take a nice look around and check back for more updates on the speaker's page. We've got a lot in store for Alt Summit 2011 and can't wait for you to be a part of it!

    Some Exciting Updates...

Feeling like you didn't get enough Alt Summit last year? Here's some fantastic news: This year we're extending the sessions to two full days on Thursday and Friday, so plan on flying in on Wednesday, and don't forget to leave Saturday open for all sorts of fun excursions. Like free skiing for all in attendance, a photography tour of the city, and the best thrifting Salt Lake City has to offer.

Curious about speakers? Here's the latest: We've received all the submissions, and the Alt Speaker and Session Committee is hard at work, right this minute, putting the program together. Look forward to the initial announcement of speakers this week!

Lastly, are you registered for Alt Summit? Spots are filling up fast. You can grab yours right here. While you're at it, go ahead and reserve a hotel room too. Last year, the hotel sold out — and we don't want you out in the cold.

    It's Hip to be Square

We are excited to introduce Squarespace as an Alt sponsor!  Squarespace is a fully-hosted, completely-managed environment for creating and maintaining a website, blog or portfolio.  Squarespace is for bloggers.  Businesses large and small.  Authors.  Teachers.  Lawyers.  Doctors.  Squarespace's flexible platform can power sites of all sizes.

They give you full control over your content and site customization. You can build it 10X faster on their comprehensive platform. Truly.
Also, their support system is strong, fast and comprehensive; this is reason enough to be on Squarespace.

Check Squarespace out, follow them on twitter (@Squarespace) and read their blog.  You can even try them for two weeks for free.
BTW, Alt has always been hosted by Squarespace.  We loved Squarespace long before they were a sponsor of Alt.  They are excited to connect with you at the Alt Summit.  But don’t wait until then.  Check them out today!
