Official Alt Kick Off
Alt Summit officially kicks off on January 18th with our popular Wednesday Night Dinners. Meet at 6:30 at the restaurant you signed up for and be ready to enjoy a delicious meal courtesy of Alt Summit and our terrific sponsors. If your plans have changed and you are unable to go to your dinner, please cancel your reservation so those who missed to the chance to sign up can participate in this sold-out event!
During the dinner you’ll have plenty of time to chat with the dinner sponsor and a table full of new friends, a nice warm-up for the rest of the week. And don’t let your night stop there, feel free to make plans for fun meet-ups afterwards with other attendees. We’re thinking celebratory dancing might be in order.

A Special Gift From Pinhole Press
The great people behind Pinhole Press would like to gift each of you one of their darling portrait magnets. Awesome, right? All you need to do is send your picture (5.5x4"or 3x3") to curtina@mohawkpaper.com. It can be of just you, your family, your wedding, your dog, your blog, your choice. Then you can pick up the magnet at their sure-to-be-stellar mini party, hosted by The Girls With Glasses, on January 20th at Alt Summit. Be sure to send your photos by January 9th. |
December Online Classes
Our online classes have been a huge hit so we’re offering a couple more this month to make sure you’re fired up and ready for January. First up on, on Friday, December 9th, at 2pm EST/ 11am PST Laurie Smithwick will be talking all about business cards. She'll share examples of effective cards, discuss how many you need to bring, and even suggest sources for printing them on a dime. Alt yields a veritable mountain of cards that are frame worthy. Learn how to make yours memorable. Register here. Then, on Tuesday, December 13th, 2 pm EST/10 am PST the passionately entrepreneurial Meg Keene will fill you in on what you need to know to create a media kit that works. Join this lively discussion on how to sell your blog without feeling skeezy, brought to you by the woman who's packed her media kit with photos where she is dancing her face off. Funny thing about that: it works. Register here. Thanks to Sherwin Williams for making these classes possible. |
Goodie Goodie Gift Bags
Let’s face it, we all love gift bags and Alt is so happy to be stuffing 2012’s takeaway with some goodies from these amazing small vendors: Just make sure to leave some extra room in your suitcase so you can get all your goods home.
