Know Before You Go

Hitch a Ride
If you need a ride to your hotel on Wednesday, there’s no need to hail a cab. Cars will be available at the airport running from 10 AM until 5 PM, courtesy of Alt Summit. Just watch for the Alt logo at baggage claim and join some of your fellow attendees for a smooth ride.

Wednesday Night Dinners
Once you’ve freshened up a bit at your hotel, remember to leave early for your Wednesday night dinner. Everyone will be trying to grab a ride at 6:15 and Salt Lake isn’t quite as taxi heavy as NYC. We wouldn’t want you to miss anything, especially when it’s food related.

Thursday and Friday Panels
We’ve been fielding quite a few questions about securing spots to the panels on Thursday and Friday. No need to sweat, every class is open to all and with the large spaces they’re held in, you’re guaranteed to find a chair to every session you want to hit up.

Alt Check-In
Can’t wait to start sporting your nametag and get your hands on a grab bag? Check-in for Alt will start at the Grand America on Wednesday at 2:30 and runs until 6:00 PM. Not arriving until later? You can also check in starting at 8:00 AM on Thursday morning.
See you soon!

Keynote Series

If you haven't peeked at our schedule lately, you're in for a real treat. We have three keynote addresses lined up that we're honored to announce.

First up, on Thursday right after lunch, stay in your seat to hear from three editors-in-chief: Pilar Guzman of Martha Stewart Living, Deborah Needleman of The Wall Street Journal Magazine, and Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan of Apartment Therapy. With a discussion moderated by Gabrielle Blair of Design Mom, Pilar, Deborah, and Maxwell will be sharing their insights on the relationship between traditional media and new media. Prepare yourself to be amazed.

Secondly, on Friday get ready to learn how Pinterest became the next game changer by listening to the founder of everybody's favorite virtual pinboard, Ben Silbermann. Learn all about the successful venture from starting point to the future and leave inspired to go after that genius idea you've been meaning to try.

To finish things off, don't miss our closing keynote presented by New York Times Bestseller, Gretchen Rubin. She'll share her fresh perspective on designing your life, the perfect conclusion to two full days of back-to-back stimulating panels.

Wow! We're not sure we'll be able to sleep in anticipation.
