You’ve been asking!

So let’s set a date:

Altitude Design Summit 2011
Grand America Hotel, Salt Lake City
January 19-22

We’ve kept all the stuff you loved last year, plus, we’ve planned some awesomeness you didn’t even know you wanted. Like our new “Dinner With” event. Dinner with whom you ask. How about a private table at your choice of Salt Lake’s hottest restaurants with just you, your favorite design blogger, a totally cool sponsor, and a half-dozen or so of your favorite Alt friends.

No kidding.

Does it get better than that you may ask? Well, yes. Yes it does. Stay posted. In the meantime, take note: Alt Early Bird registration opens August 1.

Alt Summit Concierge

You've heard hints and whispers about the Friday night After Parties but here's some real and actual information. All sorts of super-cool gatherings are being held all over the Salt Lake Valley, at Sundance & Park City, and at Solitude Ski Resort. Your Alt Attendee Pass will give you exclusive VIP access to these events.

How will you arrange your After Party itinerary? That's where the Alt Summit Concierge comes in. The concierge will have all the info and all the answers to your questions. What are the Friday Night options? Which passes are still available? I'm thinking more dinner, less dancing — is that doable? Anything with live music? What's the best spot to celebrity watch?...

Watch for the Alt Concierge during registration.

Can You Handle The Glamour?

The Thursday night Opening Social is going all Old Hollywood on us. Because Salt Lake City during January is all about film. New remakes and old classics. Bring your fancy shoes and join us at the Grand America Hotel. See vintage movie clips and snack on your favorite movie goodies. (Milk Duds anyone?)

Best part: the fabulous Dana Parish will join us for the evening to provide live music as glamorous as the rest of the party.

Solitude Ski Passes

Did you know that every Alt Summit attendee will receive a FREE full-day ski pass to Solitude Mountain Resort? That's a pretty fantastic freebie. Especially if you ski or snowboard. Or snowshoe. Or enjoy sitting be a fire in a rustic lodge. While you sip hot cocoa. Because it turns out there is something for everyone at Solitude's beautiful alpine village. Check your Alt Summit Welcome Bag for your Solitude Coupon and instructions on how to claim your free ski pass.

Need a ride to the mountain? Ski enthusiasts will meet in the Grand America Hotel Lobby early on Saturday morning. Plan to grab a ride with a transportation-ready ski buddy or pick a spot in Solitude's Ski Shuttle.

Not a ski bum? Go ahead and sleep in on Saturday, then hang out with us at the After Summit. The After Summit is all about casual networking and discussion (and continental breakfast) with fellow attendees, before you head home. This will be very unstructured, so feel free to drop by for a few minutes or stay the whole morning.

A very laidback end to a very cool weekend.

Speed Networking

On Thursday evening, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, you're invited to meet one-on-one with potential sponsors at the Alt Summit Speed Networking event. We really want you to make valuable connections at Alt — so we scheduled this event right up front. Once the introductions have been made, you'll have all weekend to continue the conversations.

The glam Hollywood Opening Social (food, live music, vintage movies, cigarette girls) happens immediately following Speed Networking. Feel free to attend the networking event in your party clothes. Or not. Whatever works for you.

Note: if you're coming to Alt Summit representing a business, and you want to connect with bloggers and publishers at Speed Networking, we'd love to have you. Just send an email to sara@altitudesummit.com and we'll let you know how to get involved.
