Danielle Krysa, The Jealous Curator
Danielle Krysa has a BFA, and a post-grad in Design. After years of looking at beautiful contemporary art and thinking "Damn, I wish I thought of that", she decided to say it out loud, and The Jealous Curator was born. She writes daily posts showcasing artwork from around the world, and is currently writing two books. The Jealous Curator has been featured by Sunset Magazine, Frankie Magazine, Apartment Therapy and Glamour Paris.

Laurie Smithwick, LEAP Design
Laurie Smithwick is a design addict, collector of things, french fry lover, cilantro hater, neglectful writer, wannabe chef, mom of twins, happy wife, and loyal friend. By day, she’s an award-winning graphic designer who founded LEAP Design in 1998. Before that she honed her skills in the music industry where her work was nominated for a Grammy. Laurie is also a co-founder of Kirtsy, and blogs at UpsideUp. She lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband, twin daughters, three cats, and one of those pygmy frogs in a box that is apparently going to live forever.

Merrilee Liddiard is the founder of Mer Mag. As an illustrator under the pen name Tuesday Mourning, Merrilee has worked for various publishers and has worked with GAP Kids, National Geographic Kids, Parent & Child magazine and Ruby Studio. Her work has been seen in Family Fun Magazine, Daily Candy, Handmade Charlotte, Apartment Therapy, Design Mom, and more. She is currently working on her first kids craft book with STC Craft, due out in 2014.

Becoming the mother of a precocious little girl & cuddly baby boy, has dramatically shifted Melissa's focus. Some things, however, have remained the same: She absolutely loves being creative with graphic design, calligraphy, sewing, bookbinding, painting, decorating and anything that keeps her mind & hands busy. Emily Frame is one-third of the children's lifestyle blog Small Fry, which launched September 2012 to rapid success. She currently works as a stylist and runs the handmade boutique, Bijou Market. She was named one of Alt's up and comers in 2012 for her blog Ruffling Feathers, which chronicles her life and having two boys 16 months apart. Saying “no” is not one of her strengths in work or life.

Megan is the editor and curator behind the design and lifestyle blog, The Fresh Exchange where she shares current inspiration, recipes, and personal thoughts on her life as a creative entrepreneur in Michigan. Because of her passion for the growth of the blogging community Megan built Blog Brunch with two other partners as a place where bloggers can grow amongst one another. Kaelin Zawilinski and Joanna Linberg met at Drake University and instantly became friends. After graduating with degrees in magazine journalism, they jumped into editor roles at BHG.com at the time, a burgeoning part of the industry. Together, they've launched Better Homes social media presence and blog initiatives, and have collaborated on countless print and digital efforts. Both are thrilled to attend and speak at Alt for the first time.

This year they were named one of Babble's Top 50 Etsy Parents and are passionate about the handmade community.

We encourage people to connect to the varied and interesting things women of different backgrounds, in different circumstances, and living different lifestyles think about, do, make, and discuss. Our online project, The Equals Record, is a collection of narrative nonfiction, essays, stories, and photography from women across the world. We live 2,911 miles apart but try to live like we're right next door.

Lauren McGrath is the Development Coordinator for Scripps Networks Interactive. Previously, Lauren spent two years in the Alternative Television department at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where she specialized in news and lifestyle clients and honed her eye for spotting promising talent.

Mark enjoys the futile effort at attempting to keep pace with his three teenage boys, 18,17, and 15 and their energetic mother. They all enjoy sailing, snowboarding, kiteboarding and fun outdoors in general.
