The founders of Alt Summit come from a blogging family. Understanding that bloggers needed the connections a live event would offer, an idea was hatched. A live event to discuss what is new, what is working, what is not and what is next.
Combining the talents of sisters Sara Urquhart and Gabrielle Blair, joined by Kate Schoening, Alt has grown to be the premier business conference for pioneering bloggers and rookie bloggers alike.
Alt is open to all. Attendees tend to have a shared interest in innovation within the space. There is a generosity at Alt. There is room for everyone.
In an attempt to meet the needs of those who cannot make the trip to Alt SLC, Alt is expanding. The Alt Channel provides classes and connections to people from across the U.S. and around the world (our daytime classes tend to have an international flair!). We have expanded to NYC in 2012, and are looking at other options in 2013 (stay tuned!). The blog is being filled with current, useful information to help you do better, what you do.
Alt is a place to connect. Connecting with peers, meeting new friends, brainstorming collaborative ideas and building relationships with brands are all important parts of Alt. These things can happen sitting across a table at dinner or can happen through an online class.
